hubby's funnies (#3)...

a little background...
i am madly in love with my husband. recently we were home together for nearly a week (half of which i was nasty sick). there was a time when we might have been at each other's throats by the end of a whole week together... let's be honest here... love doesn't always trump pride (and thus our tempers)... though we've clearly started getting the hang of it. after this last week together (as with all the time we have together now), i miss him tons when we're apart. i already dream of the days beyond our hypothetical children to the time when we can retire and spend our days together. a little sappy, i know. and if you know me at all, you know this is all just a steaming pile of... kidding... i mean every word!

so, to the point...
sometimes i send hubby text messages telling him how much i miss him. he usually responds with male-friendly one-syllable answers, or sometimes, nothing at all... i mean, he IS working. but today... oh today was post-worthy...

me: i miss you. can we just retire now? spend all our money on a flight to some island in the caribbean and then live like nomads? please?
him: no. but i will buy a lottery ticket.

yeah... i laughed.
