winter wonderland!

if you are or know anyone in the same vacinity as us, then you're likely taking or receiving lots of pics like this! in case you don't know, we rarely see snow down here, and it's even more rare when it sticks to the ground! so i thought i'd share with yall the little piece of winter we got to experience last night... real snow! fabulous!

happy birthday to ME...

that's right... i turned 30 years old on wednesday. and, after a little introspecting, i realized i was not as upset/sad/grief-stricken as i thought i might be at the passing of this birthday milestone. i felt very loved, actually. my husband made me feel special without doing anything special. i got tons of calls and text messages and emails... i actually stopped responding to them around dinnertime! i feel like i'm moving into another phase of my life... like i've done everything i was suppose to do in my 20s (growing, falling, growing some more)... i think i'm ready for my 30s.

yeah, i said it... thirty-something, watch out here i come.

how do YOU measure up...

as a woman?

do not send me your measurements. that isn't what i mean.

i feel that, as a grown woman, i should know or should have learned certain things on my journey in life.

things like...
to be on the safe side wash everything in cold water; unless whatever's on your clothes has you scared for your well-being, then use hot water - if it doesn't survive, you didn't want to keep it anyway; bleach with colors never has a happy ending; your man should pump your gas; right-y tight-y, left-y loose-y (of which i was recently informed some men have NEVER heard, sure);
